I am tickled to have been of service RE: Listening to the show.
What did you think??? Honestly, where the band is and where they are going is quite exciting to me.

Again, thanks for your help!

Hey Skylar, here is a long winded response. This is an unusual and ironic circumstance for me, and assuming that you are speaking to me, I apologize most profusely. Do you notice that your post is separated from the original thread – in fact it doesn’t seem to appear on the big board.. What has happened is I deleted my post apparently around the same time as you replied to it. If you click on “see parent post” you will gather what I am talking about. Right now I couldn’t tell you exactly why I deleted or if it was proper or necessary – I get funny sometimes reading over what I post and as it seemed you had come to some closure with the initial issue and I felt dumb in my post and my experiment reviewing this show (which I had never done before) so I elected to remove my post. Crazy and ironic that I mentioned this very contingency – that deleting a post would orphan any replies. Now I feel doubly dumb. But a bit humored as well.

I check in from time to time and listen to the various incarnations of the boys. It has been 7 years since I saw any of these guys play together, except I have gone to see DSO (w/ JK) more recently. I have toyed with the notion of seeing Furthur in February but always come back to my finances and the fact that the shows are readily available here. Cornell was pretty inviting, only because of my assumption that this will be an open floor / general admission like last time I was there (5/16/81) - if I have to sit in a seat and not dance freely I’d rather listen at home.

Skylar, I can only say that they sound good together, I like how John plays and think he sings well. He certainly knows the material and I like what he brings to the stage. I can’t imagine where this lineup is headed - I agree it is pretty is exciting but then again my enthusiasm these days tends to lean more towards listening to older stuff I haven’t heard from when Jerry was younger and still with us. Sorry if I have confused you, I am a bit confused myself. Anyhow, peace to you, and don’t be a stranger.
